Brittney's Bio

Memphis native, Brittney King, is a licensed professional counselor, speaker, author, and entrepreneur. She was adopted as an infant and raised by her Mama, Granny, and a host of beloved Aunties. She knew at a young age she would leave Memphis, which led to attending college at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. There she received a B.S. in Public Administration and a M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health.

Although, she grew up in church, Brittney affectionately describes Chattanooga as the place where God met her. Following graduate school she began her professional career in College Counseling and after nearly a decade in Chattanooga moved to Atlanta, GA with her best friend. There she continued her work in college counseling until taking the leap of faith into full time entrepreneurship.

Her first business, Imagination Beautiful, LLC, is a virtual private practice which specializes in treating clients dealing with anxiety, life transitions, low self-esteem, and women's issues. 

Following the passing of her mama and granny in 2022, God called her back to her hometown and into women’s ministry. Thus the formation of Genuine Flow, a women’s ministry focused on creating a space to exhale through blogging, podcasting, and events. Being raised by women and spending the past decade counseling women from all around the world, Brittney’s passion is to see women live well and experience God’s peace.
